New CEO of Türk Prysmian Kablo: Ulku Ozcan

Ulku Ozcan became the new CEO of Türk Prysmian Kablo, the Turkish operation of Prysmian Group which is the leader in the energy and telecommunication industry. She started her new position on June 1st, 2021.

After the former CEO of Türk Prysmian Kablo Cinzia Farisè’s appointment as MEAT Region CEO of Prysmian Group, Ulku Ozcan has appointed to the top management of Türk Prysmian Kablo. 

Ulku Ozcan, being an important leader in the Turkish business world by being in senior management positions for years and providing consultancy for both national and international companies is now the new CEO of Türk Prysmian Kablo. And regarding this appointment, she said: “I’m glad to represent this great family for Turkey and to work with all of my dear colleagues. I’m feeling a great pride to be included as a female manager in such group that supports equal opportunity and gives utmost importance to female employment for a sustainable future.” 

After graduating with bachelor’s degree from Marmara University’s Business Administration program, respectively she has worked as a Senior Strategist, Strategic and Project Development Manager, and Marketing Manager in Lafarge Turkey between 1998-2010. Starting from 2010, working in various positions for Çimsa Çimento within Sabancı Holding, Ulku Ozcan lastly worked as the CEO of Çimsa. After she left Çimsa in 2020, Ozcan has provided consultancy services for both Turkish and foreign companies. By taking over the management of Türk Prysmian Kablo, Ulku Ozcan will now continue her valuable works within Prysmian Group.

Prysmian Group leads the way in female employment

Creating difference by giving weight to female employment, Prysmian Group aims to increase the rate of females within the total labor force from 16.9% as it was in 2020 up to 17-19%; the rate of females to have been recently hired among white-collar employees from 34% as it was in 2020 up to 40%; and the rate of female managers from 21.9% up to 25-2% by 2022, and thus to improve the gender balance rate even further.
